First and foremost, thank you to all the players that attended the tournament.  You took time out of your regular schedules to travel and spend the day in Utica.  Second, thank you to all the volunteers that helped pull this off! Joe, Al, Will, Kathi, Susan, Dennis, Jordan, George and anyone I forgot to mention.  Third, many thanks to Michael for his organizational skill and ability to be a task master -- Git 'er done, Yeaaaahup!

2011 Millcreek Open

Several players from MVTTC and area travelled to Erie, PA to compete in the 2011 Millcreek Open.  Congratulations to Brian Tripp (Greig) for taking 1st place in the under 1350 event.

Kudos to Sam Steiner and his team for putting together another stellar tournament.  I seem to have more fun each time I go.  See you next year!

Many thanks to the 29 players, numerous volunteers and organizers Michael and Richard !

This year saw the addition of a doubles event and 10 teams entered.  Also, the 4pt Rush was a blast and I hope everyone had fun.

Results

Doubles:
  Final - Holck & Lombard over Mastro & Neal

Singles:
  Group A Final - Harry Hawk over Tung-Sing Chong, 4 - 1
  Group B Final - Andrey Drozdor over Greg Zimmer, 4 - 1
